Traditional Floor Screed or Sand and Cement Floor Screed is made from sharp sand, cement and a minimal quantity of water. This is suitable for all applications that are to receive a floor finish and is usually the most economic.
Product Specification
Traditional Floor Screed is also known as Sand and Cement Screed or Dry Floor Screed because of its low water content.
Advantages
JCW Floor Screeding sources all traditional sand and cement screed from national specialist suppliers such as Cemex, Tarmac and Premier Mortars. This ensures that all material meets the standard required by British Standards as it is mechanically batched. This method of batching ensures that the correct quantites of sand, cement and water are present and thoroughly mixed.
Factory mixed, ready-to-use sand and cement levelling screed is suitable for both flooring and roofing applications and offers excellent cement dispersion. This in turn provides a more uniform comprehensive strength throughout.
It can be used on suspended or in-situ concrete floors, as a topping to light aggregate screeds or utilised in a floating construction over insulation to give acoustic or thermal properties.
Using ready mixed screeds eliminates the problems which can arise when using screed mixed on site, problems which can sometimes damage the integrity of the installation and its suitability for purpose or longevity.
